Autumn Gardens

The weather has cooled from the high 80's to the low 70's and there is a hint of woodsmoke fragrancing the still October air. I am presently staying in St Helena at Trisha's house. She is vacationing in Canada for a few days...and I am the glad recipient of fresh tomatoes plucked daily from the vine in her very well-kept garden. Delicious!

I am enjoying morning walks and afternoon playdates with her very personable small doggie- Charlie, and in my many spare moments I am nurturing my soul with prayer, Bible reading, and working on music. This is what is described in the Bible as "rest roundabout", and I am entirely content. :-)

Surrounding me are the many vineyards ablaze in a colorful display of Autumn richness. Pumpkins dot several well groomed fields with a cheery orange debut and the storefronts of this quaint, old-fashioned town are dressed for the holidays with Indian corn, gourds, squash, and pumpkins of every shape and hue from yellow to orange. People smile more in this cooler weather...I think everyone is looking forward to bundling up in colorful sweaters.

I will be in my element when I can see my breath in the air. Hot chocolate, pumpkin pies, cinnamon scenting the hallways and candles burning with a creme brulee fragrance is romancing my memories with a strong pull towards the crisp weather of late Autumn and early Winter.

Jesus is the calm of every day...remember...He will NEVER forget you; you are graven on the palms of His hands.
